Rediscover the unmistakable sound of Pixies – Head Carrier, the sixth studio album from one of alternative rock’s most influential bands. Released in 2016, the album combines the group’s trademark loud-quiet dynamics, sharp guitar hooks and surreal songwriting with a polished modern production from Tom Dalgety. It was also the first Pixies studio album to feature Paz Lenchantin as a full-time member alongside Black Francis, Joey Santiago and David Lovering.
Featuring standout tracks including “Um Chagga Lagga,” “Talent,” “Tenement Song,” “Classic Masher” and “All I Think About Now,” the album balances energetic alternative rock with more melodic and reflective moments. “All I Think About Now,” sung by Lenchantin, was written as a tribute to former bassist Kim Deal, adding an especially poignant moment to the record.
