A record shop for everyone.
Moonface Records started in 2022 with a few crates of records, a market stall and an idea that quickly got out of hand.
Today we're an independent record shop in Bedford's Harpur Centre, stocking new and pre-owned vinyl, CDs, K-Pop, cassettes and plenty of things we probably didn't intend to buy.
No investors. No corporate backing. Just a small team, far too much music and the people who keep supporting us.
How It Started
Those early days taught us something pretty quickly: plenty of people loved physical music, but traditional record shops and fairs didn’t always have much for them.
One where Fleetwood Mac can sit next to Stray Kids. Where a £1 CD is as welcome at the till as a collectible pressing. And where discovering something new matters more than knowing everything already.
Moonface began in 2022 when we started loading up the car and taking our stock to record fairs and markets.
Younger collectors would come looking for Taylor Swift, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park or K-Pop. Others simply wanted an affordable CD or their first record without feeling like they needed an encyclopaedic knowledge of pressings to belong there.
So we started building the kind of record shop we wanted to see.
